Meet the medical director

I’m Dr. Prince Amissah, a Ghanaian ophthalmologist with a specialized focus in cornea, anterior segment, cataract, and refractive surgery. In June 2023, I embarked on a transformative 16-month fellowship at the prestigious LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Hyderabad, India — a globally recognized center of excellence in ophthalmic training and care. This opportunity, fully sponsored by the Cure Blindness Project, has profoundly deepened my surgical expertise and clinical insight, especially in complex corneal disorders and advanced anterior segment surgeries.
With a foundation built on rigorous clinical training and a passion for improving sight, I am committed to raising the standard of eye care in Ghana and beyond
My interests include ocular surface surgery, phacoemulsification, corneal transplantation, and public health outreach. I’ve also been actively involved in community-based eye screenings, research, and teaching.
